Competitive shooting

HIGH POWER SERVICE RIFLE MATCH

These 100 yard matches are informal, with instruction in handling of the club owned M1 Garand rifles and basic marksmanship. Matches are open to both members and the general public. There are usually four matches held per year. Matches are held two times in the spring and twice in the fall. Fees cover the cost of targets and ammunition that the club supplies.

Pistol Leagues Spring and Fall

When there is enough interest among the club members, the club sponsors a Pistol League

Pistol league shooters usually meet twice a week as determined by the participants. These are NRA bulls eye matches in small bore, center fire, and 45 courses of fire at 50 and 25 yards.

High Power Rifle Team

When there is enough interest among the club members, the club sponsors a high power rifle team.

Junior Small Bore Team

When there is enough interest among the junior club members, the club sponsors a small bore rifle team. In the past they have participated in indoor league matches, regional, and sectionals as well as outdoor NRA 50 yard and 50 meter matches.

Small Bore Silhouette Matches

There are 12 NRA approved small bore rifle silhouette matches a year, one a month. They are held on the fourth Saturday of every month and start at about 10AM. These are 80 shot matches. These matches are open to both members and the general public.

Air Rifle Silhouette Matches

Several 80 shot air pistol - rifle silhouette matches are held each year. The matches are usually held on the 2nd Sunday of the month at about 10 AM.

Trap

Trap shoots are held on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month. Members pay $2.00 non-members $3.00 for 25 clay birds. Trap is also conducted informally by members during normal operating hours.
